Project Description

R49 expressway is, above the valley of the Racková stream, overpassed with a post-tensioned double T girder concrete bearing construction, one bearing construction for each traffic direction.

The layout of the bridge includes a continuous double T girder bearing structure made of post-tensioned concrete with 5 spans of total length 26.0 + 3 x 37.5 + 26.0 = 164.5 m (measured in the D49 axis). Above the internal piers, the T girders are continuous without transversal beam, to make it easier to move the formwork during construction.

According to the length of the bridge and the number of spans, a classic fixed support scaffolding with two towers in the span and with steel triangle frames supported on top of the piers were used. The concept of the under-girder considered longitudinally movable formwork (external and internal tables), moving on the wooden floor and with transom formwork under the girders of bearing construction.

The bridge deck was supported between the piers using TRECOL support towers in a typical arrangement of two planes of HPC concrete columns, connected by stiffeners and central steel columns into a triangular system, creating an "X" shape in plan. The basic supporting element for the transfer of vertical loads is therefore the HPC reinforced concrete columns.

The longitudinal beams of the scaffoldiing in front of the abutments were designed using atypical assemblies of small TRECOL towers. The towers were assembled from small parts with a height of approximately 150 mm for easier disassembly under the bearing construction.

Steel frame structures were installed on pillars 2, 3, 4, 5, replacing the classic pillar towers in atypical shapes around the segmented top piers. The frame structures consist partly of TRECOL system elements, partly of atypical steel elements. Two planar frames were therefore suspended from a group of longitudinally oriented beams, which were placed horizontally on the pier head.
